Microsoft has started collaborating with several screen manufacturers to optimize screens for the Xbox Series consoles, but what’s the difference?
It comes as a bit of a surprise, but Microsoft has now announced that they have launched a program that will make it easier to find “good and optimized” screens for the Xbox Series. Microsoft has started collaborating with several manufacturers such as Asus, Acer, and Philips.
The screens will then receive the stamp “Gaming features For Xbox” which will then guarantee to offer Variable Refresh Rate, HDMI 2.1, and HDR.
Already now Philips has presented a screen that gets the Xbox stamp, Philips Momentum 559M1RYV 55 inch has a resolution of 4K in 120Hz and support for DisplayHDR 1000, this screen will go on sale this summer, no price tag has been revealed.
The other screen is the ASUS Strix Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor XG43UQ 43 inch which will also have 4K resolution in 120Hz, however, we will have to wait until October before the screen is released.
